You cannot leave comments for this CD because you are I dunno but this release strongly reminds me of Foreigner(musically and somehow vocally talking).the best cuts are the ones inspired by the AOR sound of course(2,3,6 & 7)and add to those tracks 9 & 10.decent album.82/100įantastic release for URIAH HEEP back in early 80 s and probably their best ever!the decade has changed and now things got heavier and the songwriting more consistent cause commercial success is a goal for the bands !all the songs are excellent ,Mick s guitar better than ever and the musicianship of te highest level!surely Abominog is one of the best of the hard rock scene at the timeįorgot to mention the Argent/Russ Ballard cover sucks, cause even the original sucks Not a classic in rock history, however an enjoyable session that merits repeated listens. Also, a good comeback release, proclaiming Heep would not go away. Probably slightly heavier than the twin album, "Head First". I recommend this most out of Uriah Heep's catalogue Can't say I would class as AOR, but I guess to each their own. I remember my intro was Too Scared To Run and after that I was hooked. While I liked Equator I did not find that it captured my attention the way this and Head First. Someone said this album is AOR, but no, this has much too much edge. My first rock-concert, and what an experience. Following this album they went to tour, and I went to see them live. Too Scared To Run and Sell Your Soul really rocks. Box sounds rejuvinated on guitar and the rest of the band turns in equally strong performances. They ditch the tired fantasy metal sound for a Foreigner like hard rock style and come up with their best album yet. GOOD ALBUM BUT I PREFER THE NEXT TWO WORKS WITH PETER GOALBY HEAD FIRST AND EQUATOR CHEERS FROM MEXICO CABRONES!!! It could have used a thicker and bigger snare sound, like what is heard on "Equator". The only fault I found here is the Lee's drums. The band had a hit with "That's The Way That It Is", which was also recorded by Graham Bonnet on his "Line Up" LP (1981). However, it's certainly the heaviest of the three Uriah Heep albums with Goalby on vox. A little TOO commercial sounding, but a good song nonetheless.Ībominog sounds like an AORish version of the early Ozzy, due to Daisley and Kerslake of course. All great songs here, although "On the Rebound" sounds a bit out of place among the other tracks. One of their best, hands down! The band broke up briefly prior to this, but they came back strong. Long as they are at least 4 songs in length.Įxisting comments about this CD From: Shoemaker Please only submit officialĬD releases no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.ĮPs and CD-singles from Uriah Heep are also welcome to be added, as Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or liveĬompilation CD, we want to add it to the site.
